See Me

See me as I once was

The girl with the long red hair flowing down her back

Not the hair that is short, brittle and fell out in the bath

Don’t see me just sitting at a park picnic table

See me as the girl running free wild as the wind

If only in her mind

If only she were able

Don’t see me as the sweaty girl clinging to her husband’s arm

See me as a young beauty full of grace, full of fire and charm

Don’t listen to my jumbled up words coming out of my mouth

Lost in fog

See and read my words and heart on my blog

See a young woman trying to find a cure

Trying to get well

See me

A woman fighting like hell.
