My Tree

Ancient tree standing tall Like me, I hope you never fall. Branches reaching toward the sky. Gently swaying as I cry. I watch you close. You’re so free. You are more graceful than I could ever be. You’re roots are deep, just like me. You battle crazy storms and weather. Yet you comfort me. I am light as a feather. Some times your branches will break But your faith never shakes. Your simple beauty inspires so many. Inspire me! For I haven’t any. You look so wise and strong. Even when your bark is twisted You still do no wrong. You radiate comfort, independence and shade. When I look at you old ancient tree I thank God for the wonder he has made.
