Poverty, sadness and loneliness echoed behind her eyes so true. Hard times, tears and strength, you never saw her blue. She had the strength of ten men. Hopeless situations never kept her down or made her say “Never again”! She loved more than she was loved in return. She gave more to others than they had earned. Gracious and kind. Always in a bind. How did she make it every day? If she were here she’d say it was because she prayed. She smelled of honeysuckle perfume. And her garden, so beautiful, was always in bloom. If she gave you a smile you felt special and valued. She even turned a shack into something new. The world needs more people like her… The lady named Sue.
